We’re excited to bring back Theme Park Tunes for this week’s episode, where one of us plays music from the theme parks and then the other (and you!) tries to guess where the music is from.

This time, Angela picks lands/areas in the Disney World Parks, and Joe tries to guess. Keep track as you play along and see if you can beat Joe’s (very beatable) score. We also discuss home much money it would take for us to never step foot in another Disney theme park again.

Disney‘s Planned Ski Resort

Hello and welcome to the Enchanted Ears Podcast, where we discuss anything and everything Disney. 

This week in Disney News, people are doing a happy dance now that Disney's announcement that parking trams are coming back to the Magic Kingdom in Disney World.

 

And also, Amy Pascal, the producer of Spider-Man, said they're actually working on another Spider-Man trilogy with Tom Holland. Yay!!!

 

Whoosh! That's the kind of noise you'd expect to hear as Walt Disney flew past you on the slopes, and the sound you might expect to have heard at Disney's Ski Resort.

 

Yes, you read that right, Disney almost built a ski resort in California. We discuss the plans to create a whole town that included a hotel, movie theater, ice rinks, golf course, dining, lifts, and eventually what put the kibosh on those plans.

 

It's pretty impressive that the matter of the Mineral King resort actually went all the way to the Supreme Court of the United States...hint, that's not actually what stopped the plans though!

Top Rated Restaurants in Disney World

Hello and welcome to the Enchanted Ears Podcast, where we discuss anything and everything Disney!

 

This week, our news comes from Destination D23 in Orlando, which centered around the news of all of the things that will be opening in 2022, but with no exact dates. The Festival of Fantasy Parade and Fantasmic will be returning! Guardians of the Galaxy will open. The second Avengers Campus will be opening in Paris in the summer.

And in a surprising twist, Disneyland will be getting Magic Bands! The news interestingly did not include an announcement that Tron will be opening in 2022, which makes us wonder if they'll save it until 2023.

 

It's amazing all of the good food there is to be had at Disney if you only know where to find it! For example, did you know you can get chicken and donuts for dinner?

 

How about a meatless crab cake sandwich? Neither did we!

 

This week, since many of our American listeners are still probably eating leftovers from their Thanksgiving feasts, we decided to make the episode all about food. Using touringplans.com's food rankings for table service and quick service in every park, we discuss where are the best places to eat, where we love to eat, and where we're anxious to try on our next trip! Then we also highlight some food items from various menus that tickled our fancy. (That's a weird expression, isn't it? How does one tickle a fancy?)

Disney+ Day

Hello and welcome to the Enchanted Ears Podcast, where we discuss anything and everything Disney! 

This week, our news is our main topic, but first, we have a correction from last week. The races that RunDisney announced aren't all new races, they're races that have been done before.

Disney+ Day was last Friday, so today we go over all of the new announcements, previews, and shows coming to Disney+. Disney, Marvel, Pixar, Lucasfilm, and National Geographic are all getting new content.

We talk about some of the highlights of Disney+ Day like Limitless, Welcome to Earth, Moon Knight, Loki 2, Willow, Boba Fett, Tiana, Zootopia, Disenchanted, Cars on the Road, Ciao Alberto, and so much more!

Plus, we end the show talking about some of the releases that came out on Friday including The World According to Jeff Goldblum, Home Sweet Home Alone, Olaf Presents, and Spin.

Ranking Disney World‘s Park Icons

Hello and welcome to the Enchanted Ears Podcast, where we discuss anything and everything Disney! 

This week in Disney News, Gal Gadot was cast to play the Evil Queen in the live-action remake of Snow White.

 

Disney also released what their RunDisney springtime surprise races will be and their lengths. There are definitely some shockers and let-downs.

 

When you step into any Disney World park, you are bound to come face-to-concrete with that park's icon (unless you're in Hollywood Studios that is). The park icons, The Hollywood Tower Hotel, Spaceship Earth, Tree of Life, and Cinderella Castle, are everywhere. They're on merch, signs, and now have really nice new lighting packages for the 50th. So this week, we take some time to share some quick facts about them and what makes them special. Then, we power rank them to definitively say what's the best park icon overall!

Top Ten Scariest Disney Movies

Hello and welcome to the Enchanted Ears Podcast, where we discuss anything and everything Disney! 

This week in Disney news, Disney’s Tik Tok has been sending major hints that the Electric Light Parade might be returning to Disneyland by posting pictures of the snail float! Let’s hope this hints at even more entertainment returning to all the parks soon!

Marvel pushed back their release dates for most of the upcoming movies starting with Dr. Strange and the Multiverse of Madness.

Lastly, if you haven’t already, be sure to check out the Fort Wilderness Golf Cart Parade photos from this year. They’re QUITE impressive and make us want to go down to see it in person!

Since Halloween was yesterday, we scoured the archives and dug up what we think are the 10 creepiest Disney movies. It’s funny when you think about it, but Disney doesn’t stray as far away from fear as you’d think, and sometimes, they even embrace the things that make us feel chills in our bones. Whether it’s the overtly scary imagery of a cursed skeleton crew or more subtle horror like that of the severe psychological trauma of thinking you killed your own parent, Disney knows how to give you the creeps.

Disney World‘s 50th Anniversary Trip Recap

Hello and welcome to the Enchanted Ears Podcast, where we discuss anything and everything Disney. We've got a long one for you this week about our trip, but first, we have some Disney News.

Disney Genie and Disney Genie+ launched last week after Joe and I left Disney. It gives you ride times, allows you to purchase rides on premium attractions, and can even tell you if you can walk up to eat at a restaurant. Pretty cool, right? 

 

Disneyland Paris announced the return of parades with "Mickey's Dazzling Christmas Parade." 

 

Also, over in Animal Kingdom, the Merry Menagerie Puppets will make a return this year, and in EPCOT, the Candlelight Processional will also be back!

 

We went to Disney World two weeks ago, and boy do we have a lot to say about it. Instead of our normal trip recap, we decided to focus on the 50th Anniversary celebration, the new attractions/features in the park, and Food and Wine.

 

If you're going down to Disney any time during the 50th, we definitely have a few pointers as crowd levels have gone up significantly since the last few times we've been there.

 

We have some hot takes on Remy's Ratatouille Adventure, this year's Food and Wine, Harmonious, Enchantment, Kite Tales, Steakhouse 71, and Space 220. Rounding off today's episode, we also discuss finally getting to go to Boma and Ghirardelli. Finally! And giving up our reservations to sit at the counter at Beaches and Cream!

Imagineering Ways to Add Luca to the Parks

Hello and welcome to the Enchanted Ears Podcast, where we discuss anything and everything Disney! Our Disney news is brief this week. We went to Disney over the weekend, so this has been recorded in advance! Our one shred of Disney news is that Disney Genie drops on October 19th.

 

We LOVE the parks so much, but the one big issue we see with them is the new properties are all but absent. This is, of course, for a number of awesome reasons. Still, this week we decided to play a little with incorporating Luca into the parks. We discuss where we think it would fit best and then how we would build it out. Let's just say that Luca fits in so perfectly, we couldn't help but give it multiple attractions and a restaurant.

Disney Villains Dinner Party

Hello and welcome to the Enchanted Ears Podcast, where us two, party animals discuss anything and everything Disney and occasionally throw imaginary dinner parties for some very special dishonored guests.

This week in Disney News, more entertainment is coming back to parks! Character meet and greets, the Indiana Jones Stunt Show, and other forms of in-park entertainment will slowly start returning to the parks over the next few months.

Also, Disney rumor mill is that Marvel will be making a show for Disney+ centered around Catherine Han’s Agatha from WandaVision! We’re so excited to hopefully see Agatha return to Disney+!

This week, we decided to give the ol' imagination a workout and think about who we'd like to invite to a dinner party of Disney Villains.

We took a number of things into account like how interesting the conversation would be, keeping the interactions civil among our guests, who would provide the most entertainment, who would be helpful with the meal, who could really get the party bumpin', and so much more!

Let's just say both of our parties would be lit!
