Mandalorian Season 1 Recap
Monday Oct 26, 2020
Monday Oct 26, 2020
Hello and welcome to the Enchanted Ears podcast, your home for all things Disney.
This week in Disney News, California released when theme parks can reopen, but with cases surging and the requirement being that the state needs to be in the lowest tier, it seems that Disneyland’s reopening will be some time far in the future. In better news, parts of DCA will open to the public for shopping and eating.
Also, the trailer for Riya and the Last Dragon released. It has an interesting premise and animation. The looming question in our minds is will the movie be released in March 2021 like it’s supposed to be, or will it be possibly be released directly to Disney+? Time will tell!
With season 2 of The Mandalorian fast approaching, we give you a Mandalorian recap episode (mostly because we needed one ourselves). We talk about the most important takeaways from season one and finish up with our predictions (and concerns) about season 2. Also, we delve into what characters will be returning and which characters will be joining (or are speculated to be joining) the ever-expanding series.
Thank you for tuning in. Have a magical week!

Monday Oct 19, 2020
Hello! Welcome to the Enchanted Ears Podcast, your favorite place to hear a couple of Disney nuts (and their sleeping co-worker, Loki) share Disney News, interview interesting guests, teach Disney history, and engage in general tomfoolery.
This week in Disney news, Disney announces that they’ve restructured their company, putting more emphasis on streaming. We discuss what this could mean for the future of theatrical releases, plus how this might impact the cost of Disney+.
Also, Walt Disney World as opened up bookings through the end of 2021 and it looks like the Park Pass Reservation system is here to stay.
We're excited to bring you another interview this week, this time with Chris from TDR Explorer. Chris runs a fabulous website, podcast, and YouTube channel revolving around the Asian Disney Parks. There he gives innumerable tips, tricks, and info about the parks in order to satiate your curiosity and make your trip to Tokyo, Hong Kong, and/or Shanghai as successful and not stressful as possible.
During the episode, we talk all things Tokyo Disney. Chris answers many pressing questions that both you and we were wondering. "What's The Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast actually like?" Disney Decade: The 1990s
Monday Oct 05, 2020
Monday Oct 05, 2020
Hello and welcome to the Enchanted Ears Podcast, your favorite place to hear a guy named Joe and a lady named Angela talk about Disney until they’re as blue in the face as Stitch (which, to be clear, is a desired look).
Ugh…Disney News this week is a bummer. Disney laid off 28,000 Cast Members due to the pandemic. If you’d like to help out the impacted Cast Members, consider donating to the Cast Member Pantry or local food banks in Orlando and Southern California.
Also, in more bleh news, D23 has been postponed until 2022. The upside though is they’ll announce some of their 100th Anniversary festivities.
It’s hard to introduce the topic this week after that, but this week we continue a fan favorite series, Disney Decade. This go round we’re delving into the 1990s. The ‘90s is maybe one of Disney’s best decades to date. The Disney Renaissance happened, there are massive park expansions and new parks built, great TV shows are made, sooooo many hotels come to fruition, and Disney acquires a major TV network.
Thank you so much as always for listening! We hope you have a magical week!

You Can Only Keep One: Disney Renaissance Edition
Monday Sep 21, 2020
Monday Sep 21, 2020
This week in Disney news we discuss the new show all about the Animal Kingdom coming to Disney+. Plus, Chris Hemsworth says he isn’t done with Thor and we couldn’t be happier!
We've already shared how tough it is to rank the Disney Renaissance movies in Episodes 116 and 117. To stay on topic, this week we do another round of You Can Only Keep One with things from the Disney Renaissance. Our choices are:
Tarzan, Aladdin, or Mulan
Hercules, Beauty and the Beast, or The Little Mermaid
Genie, Timon and Pumbaa, or Mushu
"Be Our Guest," "Friend Like Me," or "I Just Can't Wait to Be King"
"Can You Feel the Love Tonight," "A Whole New World," or "I Won't Say I'm in Love"
and finally, all of the movies scored by Alan Menken vs. each other (that's 6/10 movies!)
We surprised even ourselves with our answers! What did you say? Did you have a family dinner discussion over it? We certainly did!
Thanks for listening as always and have a magical day!

Covering Disney with Carlye Wisel
Monday Sep 14, 2020
Monday Sep 14, 2020
Hello! It's so good to theoretically see you here! Welcome to the Enchanted Ears Podcast, your place for anything and everything Disney.
This week we'll jump right into the main topic. We interviewed theme park reporter, Carlye Wisel, who has written many ballin' articles for little tiny names like Travel+Leisure, Business Insider, and SyFy Wire. Just kidding obviously. Carlye is smart, funny, and super kind, so it's no wonder why she's achieved such success.
In our interview, we discuss such hot topics as popcorn, cuz, I mean, who doesn't love Disney's popcorn? We talk about Adventures by Disney. Yes! We found someone who has actually gone on one and LOVED it! We talk about how she got into writing about Disney, her favorite places to eat, her famed accomplishment of attending 3 Disney openings in one day, and much more!
We had an absolute blast talking to Carlye! Check out her articles and her new podcast Very Amusing! (which I just got is a pun...wow) anywhere you get your podcasts. As you'd expect, she does some hard-core reporting and digs out some really interesting facts about the parks!
Thank you Carlye and to you listeners! Have a magical week!

Guess the Song Lyric - Animated Movie Edition
Monday Sep 07, 2020
Monday Sep 07, 2020
Hello and welcome to your FAVORITE Disney podcast, Enchanted Ears! I'm so excited to share the game with you this week, but first, let's go over some Disney News.
This week, Disney announced that the Poly would be undergoing a Moana re-theming. Plus, the live-action Mulan dropped on Disney+. We discuss whether it's worth your money.
Back by popular demand is the Guess the Disney Song Lyric game. This time around, we have 10 more lyrics for you to guess. (If you missed it, check out episode 94 where we do the same thing with different songs.) The rules are simple. Either Joe or I will play part of a song and it's up to the other person (and you!) to guess the next line.
Will Joe be able to unseat me as the reigning lyric champion?
Will he lose and cry because he's lost all hope like Anna toward the end of Frozen 2?
Or will I be the one crying and throwing myself on the bed like an old-school Disney princess?
Listen and see. Also, don't forget to let us know how you did on our Facebook page or better yet, on the Enchanted Ears Family Group. Head on over there to interact with us and engage with other Disney fans. We could all always use more pixie dust in our days!
Have a magical week!

Over/Under Rated: Tokyo DisneySea Edition
Monday Aug 31, 2020
Monday Aug 31, 2020
This week in Disney News, we pay tribute to Chadwick Boseman. Boseman passed away on Friday from colon cancer. Known for his roles as Jackie Robinson in 42 and Tchala in The Black Panther and other Marvel movies, Boseman's powerful portrayal of strong, proud, wonderful black men helped tell the stories of people too long kept in the shadows. He helped give representation to the underrepresented. He will truly be missed.
This week we continue our Overrated/underrated series. As per the norm, we look at the amazing website touringplans.com and use their rating system of 1-5 (one being exceptionally bad to five being amazing) to determine what rides we think are too hyped and which need to receive more love. We go far, far away to Tokyo DisneySea this time.
We struggle a bit with the difficult task of trying to find overrated rides in what’s an exquisitely done park. We flourish and actually agree a lot on many of the rides that are underrated.
How is it possible that a roller coaster gets a 1? Should a carousel be ranked higher than a 2.5? Is the ride with the most buzz worth waiting 1.5 hours? We’ll answer this and so much more!
Thank you for checking us out this week! Don’t forget to leave us a rating and review. It helps us keep doing this and reach a larger audience. Also, if you know someone who loves Disney and likes podcasts, send them a link to our podcast. The more traction we gain, the better we can make this! You guys are awesome!!

Ranking the Disney Renaissance Part 2
Monday Aug 24, 2020
Monday Aug 24, 2020
Last week, we covered our favorite Disney Renaissance movies 7-10, so this week is Part 2, our top 6 picks of all 10 Renaissance movies. If you missed last week, be sure to check out that episode first! If you haven't listened to that, stop reading here. Just to recharge your memory, we ranked Pocahontas 7th, The Hunchback of Notre Dame 8th, The Little Mermaid 9th, and Rescuers Down Under 10th. In that episode we also explained that the Disney Renaissance is a group of 10 animated movies released from 1989-1999, which really helped to bring Disney back to the forefront of entertainment.
This week, we have to battle it out with each other to put the movies in the "correct" order, and I'm still not sure we got it quite right. Some things we looked at to determine the top movies (because let's face it, they're all amazing movies) are music, character, storyline, setting, and voice actors. We certainly had our hands full!
Also, again, we'd like to say a big thank you to some of our favorite Disney podcasters and bloggers for picking some of their favorites and explaining why they love them so much!! This was a fun few episodes to make and it wouldn’t be possible without you all and your amazing sound bites!
Don't forget to subscribe and review our podcast. It helps us out massively. And tell a friend! Here's a sample of that conversation:
