Disney Fairytale Weddings
Monday May 18, 2020
Monday May 18, 2020
Hello and welcome to the Enchanted Ears Podcast, where we discuss anything and everything Disney.
This week we’re getting married. Okay, we’re not. That ship sailed a while ago. We mean Disney weddings!
With the release of Disney’s Fairytale Weddings on Disney+, it got us thinking a few things:
1. It’s soooo ballin’ to get married in Disney!
2. Could Rafiki officiate my wedding!?
3. What on earth do these things cost?
Okay, mostly the last one. And dang...you’re going to be blown away by these prices! Let’s just say you better have a fairy godmother to bibbidi-bobbidi-boo you some serious caaash.
And, of course, one thing leads to another and suddenly we’re planning a Star War’s fan’s biggest dream wedding in from of the Millennium Falcon complete with emo guest Kylo Ren and Stormtroopers doing the robot.
Thank you so much for joining us week after week! You’re amazing!

Shanghai Disney Reopening - What This Means for the US Parks
Monday May 11, 2020
Monday May 11, 2020
Hello and welcome to another delightful episode of Enchanted Ears, where we discuss anything and everything Disney.
This week, we sort of flip the script a little and jump right into what’s on a lot of people’s minds right now: when are the parks going to reopen. Shanghai reopens today, so we discuss the measures being taken to protect park goers. Then we speculate how other parks will follow suit if all goes well.
In News, you know it’s been a few years without a Pirates of the Caribbean movie, so we need to talk reboots. This time around, it seems they’re looking to press the restart button and revitalize the cast with a female lead (possibly played by Nebula actress Karen Gillan).
With the rock-solid lineup of writers and producers, this Pirates fan (who pretends the last movie never happened) is optimistic for a fresh revival.
Thanks as always for tuning in you magical beast, you! Have a great week!

The Aristocats
Monday May 04, 2020
Monday May 04, 2020
Hello! Welcome to the Enchanted Ears Podcast, where we discuss anything and everything Disney!
This week in Disney News, Disney’s announced they’ll be remaking their 1997 animated classic, Hercules. Dispute our mixed feelings over the remakes, we’re actually really excited to see how they update this one!
This week, we talk about a group of 50-year-old cats...okay, you caught me. That was a bit salacious. What I meant to say is that this week we talk about the 1970 classic Aristocats, which turns 50 this year.
Despite some shortcomings, Aristocats is a wealth of Disney history and interesting fun facts. Who would’ve guessed it’s loosely based on a true story? Did you know O’Malley was originally supposed to be a tabby cat? Learn about this and more! (This feels a little infomercially...but wait, there’s more! 🤣)
When you finish listening, head on over to our YouTube channel to check out our content there. We do informational videos, but we also play games and share experiences with lots of visuals. When we hit 100 subscribers, we’re going to hold a competition for a prize, so be sure to throw your hat in the ring.
We hope you’re well and have a magical week!

Great Moments in Disney History
Monday Apr 27, 2020
Monday Apr 27, 2020
Hello and welcome to Enchanted Ears, your podcast for anything and everything Disney.
This week in Disney News, Disney recently announced a new show coming to Disney+ on May 4th called The Disney Gallery. As you may have guessed by the release date, The Disney Gallery is Star Wars-related. This show’s going to offer a behind-the-scenes look at The Mandalorian! And yes, of course, that’ll mean more Baby Yoda!
Also, good news for fans of the brilliant and zany Taika Waititi. After reading the script for Thor: Love and Thunder, Chris Hemsworth says the script sees Waititi, the writer-director, “at his most extreme.” We’re expecting a pretty crazy ride!
Since this is our 100th episode, we thought it’d be fun to go through a few of our favorite episodes and then do a sort of greatest hits of Disney as they’re getting close to 100 years old.
We cover several events throughout Disney history starting before the company’s inception with the meeting of Walt and Ub Iwerks through Disney’s acquisition of many successful and fantastic companies like Lucasfilm, Pixar, Marvel, and Fox.
Thank you so much for being a listener (and for reading these...seriously...I listen to many podcasts and I never read the summaries). We would never have made it to 100 without dedicated listeners like yourself. We really enjoy creating content and having this podcast and our YouTube channel as an escape from all the craziness going on in the world. We’re looking forward to the next 100! Stay well and have a magical week, you magical being!

RunDisney with Becky from Disney in Your Day

Monday Apr 20, 2020
Hello and welcome to the Enchanted Ears Podcast where we discuss anything and everything Disney. We’re so excited about this week’s episode, but before we get into that: 🎶 bum bum bum bum bum bum 🎶 we have some news.
The Disney Family Singalong aired on Thursday and was a delightful way to spend your time. Amazing singers like Ariana Grande, Josh Groban, and the Broadway cast of Aladdin sang Disney classics, and the words were right there for you to sing along! If you missed it, check it out on Hulu (for the next few days) and probably Disney+ after that.
Also, Disney just released the schedule for many of the movies slated to come out with some notable changes. Artemis Fowl, originally set to release in theaters May 29, will go straight to Disney+ and be available for streaming June 12.
This week was maybe one of our favorite episodes ever as we were lucky enough to get to interview blogger, runner, and all-around-magical person, Becky Ginther. Her blog, Disney In Your Day, is an incredibly useful tool to anyone planning a Disney trip, in love with Disney food, or looking for a fun take on all things Disney.
We had a delightful conversation with Becky about her blog, planning a trip, doing RunDisney races, and how she’s getting her Disney fix right now.
We’d like to thank Becky so much for her time and definitely go check out her website, Disneyinyourday.com.

Splash Deep Dive

Monday Apr 13, 2020
Welcome to the Enchanted Ears Podcast, your favorite place for the latest Disney News and discussions on other Disney-related things.
This week in Disney News, because of park closures, you can head over to shopdisney.com to purchase the limited edition park pins.
For this episode, we dive into talking about the 1984 movie Splash, starring Tom Hanks and Daryl Hannah. In the movie, a mermaid (Daryl Hannah) comes to live in New York in order to have a fun-filled six days with legs and her old/new love, Alan Bauer (Tom Hanks). Despite its many issues, the movie was highly successful and you can watch it on Disney+.
The behind the scenes information is more interesting than the movie itself. Many of the actors and director have gone on to have lucrative careers. And the tale behind the mermaid tail is one of perseverance and triumph. So if you like fun behind-the-scenes talk, this is the episode for you!
Thank you for joining us. We hope you and your families are doing well! ❤️

You Can Only Keep One: Theme Park Edition
Monday Apr 06, 2020
Monday Apr 06, 2020
Hello and welcome to another edition of best-friends/husband-and-wife-spending-every-waking-minute-around-each-other-and-not-hating-it...I mean Enchanted Ears. As you probably already know, we talk about all things Disney.
This week in News, Disney pushes back all upcoming movie release dates, some even as much as a year! 😱
Onward is now out in Disney+! Go check it out if you haven’t already.
Also, if your trip got canceled, the silver lining is you can now receive a free Disney dining plan if you reschedule before a certain date!
This week we play a theme park edition of a new game called “You Can Only Keep One.” We each give each other a list of three things, and we have to choose which one we would keep if the other two had to go away. We have some really interesting debates and bad impression-related mistakes are made, but we definitely have fun thinking about the parks.
Thank you for lending us your ears. We hope you and your loved ones are staying safe and healthy. If you’re bored and can’t get enough of us two nerds, check out our brand-new YouTube channel appropriately called Enchanted Ears. Don’t forget to like and subscribe. If you’re really feeling ambitious, even leave a comment! You’re magical!

The History of the Disney Institute

Monday Mar 30, 2020
Hello and welcome to the Enchanted Ears Podcast! We’re so happy you’re here with us and hope you’re well.
We don’t have any Disney News this week because...well...nothing’s happening. But, we’ve been trapped inside so long, Joe’s hallucinating that the tigers have a king now.
This week, we’re so excited to talk to you about the Disney Institute, a program for self-improvement that has had many forms and a singular function over the years: to educate and enrich the people who attend.
The Disney Institute used to be a physical place you could go and take classes in a wide array of topics. At one point, you could even bring your whole family! Find out what they had to offer, where it was, and how it still exists today by listening to the episode.
Thank you so much for your listenership. We appreciate you and hope you’re making the most out of this time at home with family. Take care of each other. We love you guys.

History of Circle Vision
Monday Mar 23, 2020
Monday Mar 23, 2020
Hello and welcome to the Enchanted Ears Podcast. We know that by now you’re probably tired of being stuck at home. Some of you may even be jonesing for the comfort of a Disney Park. Don’t worry! The internet’s got you covered! Do like so many people are doing and watch ride videos or even better, make rides at home with your family that replicate the experience of being in the parks.
With all of this uncertainty, there’s a lot of speculation about when the parks will reopen, what deadlines will be pushed back, and even changes to the Disney app. This is cray, ya’ll!
In Disney News, Onward came out at the wrong time and so it didn’t perform well at the box office. But don’t let that deter you if you didn’t already see it. It’s a fantastic movie that you can now rent digitally! And when you’re done with that, Disney released Frozen 2 and Rise of Skywalker early on Disney+!
In other news, the wonderfully talented actor Rosario Dawson signs on to be in the next season of The Mandalorian! 💃🏻
Finally, the new Jungle Cruise trailer dropped a few weeks ago, and we noticed some STRONG similarities to another Disney property.
Our main topic this week is all about Circle Vision, the amazingly cool technology utilized in the Canada and China pavilions in EPCOT. Who came up with it? How long has it been used? How did they create a 360 degree view before 360 degree cameras existed? What are some of the unique challenges? Let your inner techie run wild as you listen to this podcast.
Thanks for listening. We love you guys and appreciate you. Stay safe and enjoy this time with your family.
