You Can Only Keep One: Theme Park Edition
Monday Apr 06, 2020
Monday Apr 06, 2020
Hello and welcome to another edition of best-friends/husband-and-wife-spending-every-waking-minute-around-each-other-and-not-hating-it...I mean Enchanted Ears. As you probably already know, we talk about all things Disney.
This week in News, Disney pushes back all upcoming movie release dates, some even as much as a year! 😱
Onward is now out in Disney+! Go check it out if you haven’t already.
Also, if your trip got canceled, the silver lining is you can now receive a free Disney dining plan if you reschedule before a certain date!
This week we play a theme park edition of a new game called “You Can Only Keep One.” We each give each other a list of three things, and we have to choose which one we would keep if the other two had to go away. We have some really interesting debates and bad impression-related mistakes are made, but we definitely have fun thinking about the parks.
Thank you for lending us your ears. We hope you and your loved ones are staying safe and healthy. If you’re bored and can’t get enough of us two nerds, check out our brand-new YouTube channel appropriately called Enchanted Ears. Don’t forget to like and subscribe. If you’re really feeling ambitious, even leave a comment! You’re magical!

The History of the Disney Institute
Monday Mar 30, 2020
Monday Mar 30, 2020
Hello and welcome to the Enchanted Ears Podcast! We’re so happy you’re here with us and hope you’re well.
We don’t have any Disney News this week because...well...nothing’s happening. But, we’ve been trapped inside so long, Joe’s hallucinating that the tigers have a king now.
This week, we’re so excited to talk to you about the Disney Institute, a program for self-improvement that has had many forms and a singular function over the years: to educate and enrich the people who attend.
The Disney Institute used to be a physical place you could go and take classes in a wide array of topics. At one point, you could even bring your whole family! Find out what they had to offer, where it was, and how it still exists today by listening to the episode.
Thank you so much for your listenership. We appreciate you and hope you’re making the most out of this time at home with family. Take care of each other. We love you guys.

History of Circle Vision
Monday Mar 23, 2020
Monday Mar 23, 2020
Hello and welcome to the Enchanted Ears Podcast. We know that by now you’re probably tired of being stuck at home. Some of you may even be jonesing for the comfort of a Disney Park. Don’t worry! The internet’s got you covered! Do like so many people are doing and watch ride videos or even better, make rides at home with your family that replicate the experience of being in the parks.
With all of this uncertainty, there’s a lot of speculation about when the parks will reopen, what deadlines will be pushed back, and even changes to the Disney app. This is cray, ya’ll!
In Disney News, Onward came out at the wrong time and so it didn’t perform well at the box office. But don’t let that deter you if you didn’t already see it. It’s a fantastic movie that you can now rent digitally! And when you’re done with that, Disney released Frozen 2 and Rise of Skywalker early on Disney+!
In other news, the wonderfully talented actor Rosario Dawson signs on to be in the next season of The Mandalorian! 💃🏻
Finally, the new Jungle Cruise trailer dropped a few weeks ago, and we noticed some STRONG similarities to another Disney property.
Our main topic this week is all about Circle Vision, the amazingly cool technology utilized in the Canada and China pavilions in EPCOT. Who came up with it? How long has it been used? How did they create a 360 degree view before 360 degree cameras existed? What are some of the unique challenges? Let your inner techie run wild as you listen to this podcast.
Thanks for listening. We love you guys and appreciate you. Stay safe and enjoy this time with your family.

Guess the Song Lyric
Monday Mar 16, 2020
Monday Mar 16, 2020
Hello and a big welcome to the Enchanted Ears Podcast, your place to get some stress-free Disney-related entertainment.
We kept Disney News short and sweet because honestly, we don’t want to talk about it and you’re probably sick of hearing it. All Disney Parks around the world closed due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Everyone stay safe and stay in.
This week, play along as Angela and Joe (to a lesser degree) guess the missing Disney song lyrics. This may be one of our funniest episodes to date. If guessing song lyrics wrong was an Olympic sport, Joe would be sporting the gold medal. 🤣
Thanks for tuning in and lending us your ears. Stay well and love each other.

Guess the Movie Quote
Monday Mar 09, 2020
Monday Mar 09, 2020
This week in Disney News, Disney opened the first attraction to feature Mickey and Minnie. We discuss how Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway compares to Disney’s other trackless ride attractions.
Plus, the Flower & Garden Festival kicks off this week at EPCOT.
This week, you can play along as we challenge each other in a game of guess the movie quote. Each of us has gathered 10 quotes from some of the biggest live action Disney movies to date and the other person tries to guess which movie the quote is from. We had a blast recording this and hope you have a blast listening!
Thanks for listening and supporting us. You all are amazing!

Changing of the Guard: Disney's New CEO
Monday Mar 02, 2020
Monday Mar 02, 2020
Holy cow, this was a crazy week! Soooo... today’s episode’s all news, all the time!
First off, did you see the Back to the Future deep fake starring Robert Downey Jr. and Tom Holland!? It’s crazy how well these two fit into the film and look like Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd! We brainstorm some deep fakes (we’d like to see as remakes) we’d love to see made starring MCU actors.
We love EPCOT, buuut when Spaceship Earth closes May 26th, unless Ratatouille is open by then, there may not be much of a point to going there. Almost the whole front of the park is getting refurbished right now!
And with Mardi Gras just passing, it seems Dr. Facilier may have worked his voodoo magic in the Magic Kingdom. Several rides this week seemed cursed and sank/crashed!
And lastly, in an abrupt turn of events, Bob Iger announces the sun has set on his time as Disney’s CEO and risen with Bob Chapek. What does this mean for the company? We discuss implications, concerns, and excitement.
Thanks for lending us your ears. Stay tuned for some new material we’re working on. We think you’re going to love it!!

Is It Worth It? Galaxy's Edge Edition
Monday Feb 24, 2020
Monday Feb 24, 2020
This week, in Disney News, Disney releases the 50th anniversary Cinderella Castle renderings. Let’s just say, there is a lot of gray, royal blue, pink, and gold which sounds like a cluster, but trust us, it’s fantastic.
Also, Disney gets more time to deliver the third Paris park per the agreement with France. Originally, they were to begin work in the next few years, but with all of the park improvements they’ve been making, they now don’t have to deliver the park until 2036.
This week, we do a Galaxy’s Edge edition of our recurring “Is It Worth It” series. We delve into such important topics such as lightsaber building, Oga’s cantina, building your own droid, whether or not to try the blue/green milk, and showing up an hour early to ride Rise of the Resistance. (Hint, most of this stuff IS worth it. Just what isn’t? You’ll have to listen to see.)
We also discuss the likelihood of Disney adding wallet-stealing droids to find an even faster way to siphon your money away from you. And there’s a Smuggler’s Run cheat code to reveal Chewie!? Yep. We even have a fabulous Chewie impressionist come on the show to tell us all about it in Shyriiwook.
Thanks for lending us your ears. We appreciate you and all you do! Have a fantastic week! Byyeeeee

Our Favorite Disney Couples
Monday Feb 17, 2020
Monday Feb 17, 2020
To honor Valentine’s Day last Friday, our episode highlights some of Disney’s best relationships.
But before we get all cutesy on you, we have some news. Despite the cutbacks last year, Disney now announces an expansion to their Photopass program. For a little extra money, you can get a personal photo shoot! Sign us up.
Also, because nothing is assured in life besides death, taxes, and Disney Park ticket increases, prices are set to go up again. This time taking the price of a one day park hopper to Disneyland to over $200 at certain times of the year.
As promised, this week we talk about some of our favorite Disney couples. As to not ruin the surprise, we’ll only say that this episode feels like it’s been a long time coming. These ironclad couples have stood tests that seem insurmountable, but nothing can wreck their relationships. Through their incredible journeys, they accomplish their goals and grow together. Enough talk, hop on in!
Thank you for listening and supporting us. We hope you have a wonderful week!

Disney Decade: The 1960s
Monday Feb 10, 2020
Monday Feb 10, 2020
In this groovy episode of Enchanted Ears Podcast, we talk about Disney during the 1960s. But first, there was quite a bit of news last week.
In a fantastic turn of events, we finally get to talk about Hamilton the Musical as a Disney property!!! Yep...Disney paid $75 mil to own the filmed version of the original cast’s performance on Broadway, which they’ll make back in 1 night.
Disney announced the release dates for several of their most highly-anticipated shows including The Mandalorian season 2, Wandavision, and more.
Also, you’ll be able to start booking your fully-immersive Star Wars experience at the Galactic Starcruiser hotel later this year, so start saving your money now!!!
Finally, someone is rumored to be in talks to direct the new Star Wars films and let’s just say we called it.
This week, we continue our Disney Decades series with the 1960s. So much happens in this decade it’s hard to fit it all in (and we certainly missed a lot).
During this decade we see the inception of a lot of iconic Disney classic movies, the creation of a new animation process, park ride innovations that blew people’s minds, new parks and parks that never were, and, of course, the death of Walt Disney.
This decade brings about a lot of changes that forever impact the trajectory of the Disney company. Don’t miss out!

Over/Under Rated: Animal Kingdom Edition
Monday Feb 03, 2020
Monday Feb 03, 2020
Sooo...it’s the day after the Superb Owl and we’d like to formally congratulate the 49ers or The Chiefs! Yay! Someone’s going to Disney!
This week in Disney News, the stuntronics are almost ready and a new Spider-Man stunt show at DCA will be the first opportunity we’ll have to see these live and in action.
Also, Disney makes progress in their never-ending crusade to remake every animated classic. They announced a live action Bambi movie.
Also, in exciting and curious news, Owen Wilson joins the cast of the sure-to-be-a-hit Loki show on Disney+.
This week we continue our series of picking the most overrated and underrated attractions at various parks according to touringplans.com. This week we tackle Animal Kingdom, which we quickly realized has some of the best attractions of any of the parks.
Joe makes a few unpopular picks, and I nearly fight him over it. Luckily, we make it out with our marriage unscathed.
Let us know what you think and if we missed talking about any rides that are underrated or overrated.
Thanks for lending us your ears. Catch you next week!
