Hello and welcome back to the Enchanted Ears Podcast, one of your top (ten?) favorite podcasts. Number one Disney one though, right?
This week in Disney News, Matterhorn Mountain’s at the precipice of opening...okay not really, but the pun was nice, right?! It’ll be opening on July 2nd.
Over in Disney World, the Grand Floridian will be opening up more rooms to DVC members.
And in least welcome news of the week, the animatronics in the Three Caballeros ride in the Mexico pavilion are fixed just in time for us to go down to Disney and not get to make fun of the cardboard cutouts.
This week we're delighted to share our interview with Gray Houser, the man behind Monorailnews.com and Disabilityatdisney.com. Gray does a fabulous job at both reporting the latest and greatest Disney news and helping other people with disabilities get around at Disney. He shares some of his tips and tricks with us and tells the crazy story of how he, while at Disney World, lost total vision in his left eye. (Let's just say that Disney handled the whole situation with the aplomb and expertise you'd only expect from...well...Disney.) This episode gives us the warm and fuzzies because Disney really goes to infinity and beyond in ways that many don't even understand.
Thank you again to Gray for being on the show. Be sure to check out his websites monorailnews.com and disabilityatdisney.com for more about him, Disney, and how to navigate Disney if you yourself have a disability or you'll be traveling with someone who does.
