This week in Disney News, park hopping’s back! Hooray!
Also, according to the Dis Insider, rumor has it that the West-End version of Aladdin may come to Disney+ by the end of 2021. What would this mean and do we think it’s a good idea?
Finally, Wandavision comes out Friday and is already getting rave reviews saying it’s nothing like anything else they’ve ever done. There will be 9 episodes total, two of which will be released this Friday.
This week we start a new series, Power Ranking our favorite attractions in each park. This time we tackle the Magic Kingdom!
We have some surprising picks and some not-so-surprising-picks. We even tie on a few of our choices! What will be the definitive best ride in Magic Kingdom? Space Mountain? Big Thunder Mountain Railroad? Splash Mountain? Country Bears Jamboree? You’ll have to listen and see.

Walt Disney World 2020 Trip Recap
Monday Dec 21, 2020
Monday Dec 21, 2020
Hello and welcome to the Enchanted Ears Podcast, where we sometimes have looooong podcasts about the best subject in the world, Disney!
Soooo, we went to Disney, a situation and decision we definitely wrestled with. But after considering many many factors and after countless conversations, we decided to go. In this episode, we discuss our trip.
The first thing we tackle is the measures put in place to mitigate the risks guests have and the appreciation the cast members showed for the guests. From there, we move into the park capacity and how/why it may seem a little more crowded than you’d think it would be.
There were longer lines for rides, getting into stores, but not to get food, which you mostly had to order through the My Disney Experience app. Then we go into just how delightful it was to spend an entire day on just one park with the absence of park hopping. We got to ride rides we’ve never made a priority before, and we really enjoyed them!
Although we missed the meet and greets, the character cavalcades were soo fun! And the food festivities at EPCOT are always a delight. We also got to meet new characters and see some old favorites wearing some amazing costumes!
Well that about does it for now.
We hope you have a magical week!

Using a Travel Agent and Trip Recap with Becky from Disney in Your Day
Monday Nov 30, 2020
Monday Nov 30, 2020
Hello and welcome to the Enchanted Ears Podcast, one of your top 100 favorite places to get the latest Disney News and hear two amateurs talk about anything and everything Disney.
This week in Disney News, Joe Rhode, the ultra-accomplished imaginer behind basically the entirety of Animal Kingdom, Mission Breakout, and Aulani announced that after 40 years with the company, he plans to retire in January. We wish him nothing but the best!
Also, Disney started doing random pyrotechnics in Magic Kingdom to go with the projection mapping on the castle that are set to end on January 1. Is that when the shows will come back? Maybe.
This week, we are happy to welcome Becky Ginther back to the show. As you may recall from Episode 99, where we interviewed her about her RunDisney experiences, Becky is the genius behind the Disney In Your Day blog. This time, we discuss travel agents. What do they do? When should you use them? How much do they cost?
We also talk about Becky’s latest trip to Disney. Did she feel safe? What kinds of precautions is Disney taking to prevent the spread? What are the best items at EPCOT right now?
We’d love to extend a huge thank you again to Becky for coming back to the show. If you’re interested in having Becky plan a trip for you, email her at beckyg@castledreamstravel.com and let her know Enchanted Ears sent ya!

Pixar's Origin Story
Monday Nov 23, 2020
Monday Nov 23, 2020
Hello and welcome to the Enchanted Ears Podcast, your one-stop-shop for anything and everything Disney.
This week in Disney News, park hopping is set to return to the parks January 1, 2021.
We also get a first look at a lot of new upcoming restaurants and attractions including the Star Wars Hotel.
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Toy Story, this week we’re talking about the history of Pixar.
From not-so-humble beginnings with George Lucas to being owned by Steve Jobs, Pixar has had a fascinating trajectory. From its inception as the tech-division of Lucasfilm meant to sell software to being a multi billion (with a b) company that produces films that are beloved by generations of people, it’s been quite a wild ride.
Thank you very much for joining us every week on this wild ride of a podcast. If, for some reason this isn’t enough and you’d like to see more of us, check out our YouTube channel, Enchanted Ears.
Have a magical week, and Happy Thanksgiving!

Top 10 Unbuilt Attractions with Chris Lucas
Monday Nov 16, 2020
Monday Nov 16, 2020
This week in Disney News, Disney World has increased their capacity to 35%.
Disney+ reaches 75 million subscribers!! Holy cow!!!
And based on Bob Chapek’s comments about Disney+ and releasing Soul for free, we speculate on the possibility that Disney will be creating tiers for memberships sooner than we thought.
On today’s episode we talk to actor and author Chris Lucas about his book Top Disney: 100 Top Ten Lists of the Best of Disney, from the Man to the Mouse and Beyond.
We discuss how an influential childhood moment at Radio City Music Hall and his one-man play about Walt Disney lead to him writing this book. Plus, Chris came up with a special top ten list on unbuilt attractions just for our show!
Sure you may have know EPCOT was originally supposed to be a City, but had you heard of the Godzilla Train attraction that Disney almost built in the Japan Pavilion?
If you’d like to buy a copy of Chris’ book you can buy it on Amazon. You can also find his Reach the Stars Program at reachthestarsprogram.com. Be sure to use code SALE for 25% off.

Guess the Character From Their Voice
Monday Nov 09, 2020
Monday Nov 09, 2020
Hello and welcome to The Enchanted Ears podcast, the best place to be moderately entertained by a couple of people who are relatively knowledgeable about Disney and think they're funny.
This week in Disney News, Disney announced a new donuts shop, Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew, is coming soon to Disney Springs. Angela has some ideas for the theming plus we discuss a unique way to add a tie-in to a fan-favorite Pixar franchise.
Plus, we also discuss how Disney is getting one step closer to making West World a reality with their new human-like animatronic.
In our main segment this week, strap on your thinking caps and play along with me as we play, Guess the Disney Character By His/Her Voice. Joe will play a clip of a character saying a sentence or two and you (and I) will try to guess based on the voice and context clues alone. How many can you get out of 8? Be sure to let us know how you do in the comments on our social pages or in our Enchanted Ears Family Facebook Group.

AJ From Disney Food Blog
Monday Nov 02, 2020
Monday Nov 02, 2020
Hello and welcome to the Enchanted Ears podcast, your home for anything and everything Disney.
This week in Disney News, Disneyland Paris is closed again due to the pandemic. If all goes well, they may reopen briefly.....
To add fuel to the flames, Disney announces more layoffs at Disney World.
Ending on a more positive note, Disney makes changes to the virtual cue for Rise of the Resistance. You no longer have to be in-park when it opens to see if you receive a boarding group. You can now log in at 7 am from the comfort of your hotel or home and know whether you’ll be able to ride the ride. 🎉
This week we’re excited to bring you an interview with Disney Food Blog’s own, AJ Wolfe. AJ started Disney Food Blog (DFB) as a way to talk about the delicious food offered in the parks at a time when nobody on the internet was really talking about it and now she has a massively successful blog and YouTube channel mostly dedicated to the delicious treats and eats found in the parks.
Among many other things, we ask AJ about her favorite assignments, favorite places to eat in each park, and one of our favorite topics to discuss on the show: is the Disney dining plan worth it. We think you’ll find her answers enlightening because we sure did!!
A big thank you to AJ for taking time to talk to us and for you for listening. If you’re new to the show, don’t forget to subscribe anywhere you get your podcasts. Also, check out our YouTube channel, Enchanted Ears for more Disney-related fun!
Thank you for tuning in. Have a magical week!
